
Printing on Plastic

Leo has created a variety of new printing technologies, including the full-color printing on plastic. This process creates a unique glass-like backdrop on which graphics can be applied thereby revealing items underneath. This process provides limitless product options and features for you and your customers.

Foam Stamping

This process creates a soft puffy look which is spongy to the touch. Foam stamping delivers a solid opaque color and is applied in the format of lines or any shape of design.

Rubber Coat

A process which produces a coating with the look and feel of rubber. Rubber Coat is an alternative to rubber material and tip-on to a graphic treatment.

Rubber Tex (Linear)

Rubber Tex (Linear) is another process which delivers the look and feel of rubber and also provides a three-dimensional appearance. Rubber Tex comes in six in-house colors.

Vintage Crackle

This process gives items an antique weathered look of cracked paint which is reminiscent of old oil paintings.

Image Soft

The Image Soft process applies a single color on top of fabric to create a variety of soft dimensional colors. The resulting look and feel is soft, rich, and luxurious.

3-D Frost

3-D Frost creates a dramatic dimensional crystal-like look on a printed surface. It is particularly effective when used in combination with foils.

Glitter Flocking

In this process, glitter and flocking are combined to create a sparkling and soft surface. There are a variety of flocking colors which can be used in this process.

Flocking

Leo's special flocking process can be applied to an area of up to 26 in. x 36 in., or spot-flocked to a pattern or shape. The flocking is available in a variety of colors, including translucent, which reveals the printed color underneath.

Thermography

The thermography process produces a raised pattern giving your design a distinctive effect. A special powder when combined with ordinary printing ink causes the ink to rise when heated.

Foils & Films

Foil is available in various colors and patterns: glossy, matte, metallic, and holographic. Foils are applied with a hot stamping method. Iridescent film which produces a rainbow effect is laminated onto the paper surface.

Special Inks

Special inks possess unique characteristics such as pearlescence, glow-in-the-dark, fluorescence, and conductivity.

Paper Graining

Graining is a unique process that impresses paper with a specific texture, creating both a visual and tactile effect. A variety of in-house embossing-like dies are used to impart the texture onto the paper. Combining graining with other processes can create distinctive and unique looks to a variety of products.

Gilding

The Gilding process involves applying color to the outer edges of a book’s pages. Gilding comes in a variety of opaque and metallic colors.

Embossing/ Die-cutting

Embossing is the process of impressing an image in relief to achieve a raised or depressed surface. Die-cutting is the process of cutting paper stock into any pattern or shape that is desired.

Puffing

The puffing process creates a slightly-raised image and can be used on a variety of surfaces.

Bamboo Spine

This process involves covering Bamboo in fabric to create the spine of a book.

Colorcoat

The Colorcoat process lays down a glossy light-colored tint on top of printed or non-printed surfaces.

Coral Frost

The Coral Frost process delivers a unique texturing to any designated area.

Sandblast Frost

The Sandblast Frost process delivers a unique texturing to any designated area.

Wrinkle Frost

The Wrinkle Frost process delivers a unique texturing to any designated area.

Refraction Hot Stamping

The Refraction Hot Stamping process applies / embosses a micro-fine image onto foil.

2-Color Puffing

The Puffing process creates a slightly raised image. You can use up to two colors for the raised image.

Hi-rise Glitter

This process applies a material mixed with glitter which expands creating a dimensional line or area that sparkles with light and color.

3-D Relief

This material looks and feels like plastic. It can be applied on a cloth surface in any design or pattern that you imagine.

Mono-print

The Mono-print process produces a one-of-a-kind single-color effect that resembles a rubber-stamped or stenciled look.

Brushstrokes

This process uses a brush stroke texture to produce a dimensional line which creates the look and feel of applied paint.

Sand Paint

The Sand Paint process creates the same effect as sand painting with the result having the touch and feel of real sand. The paint contains small stone particles and is applied with a mask or stencil.

Leather-Like

This process transforms paper giving it the look and feel of textured leather.

3D Hot Stamping

The 3D Hot Stamping process creates an effect of poured metal similar to quick-silver.

Linear Motion

The Linear Motion process results in products with a rubber-like feel and a linear striation texture that is reminiscent of a raw canvas fabric.

Dew Drop

The Dew Drop process produces the “wet” droplet look of morning dew or drops forming on the outside surface of a glass containing a cold beverage.

Plush Flocking

The Plush Flocking process creates the look and feel that is associated with plush fabric, but is applied as a secondary process and not as a separate piece of fabric.

Droplet

The Droplet process differs from the Dew Drop process, in that it produces a larger sized clear three-dimensional spherical dome which looks like a drop of water.

Sand Shine

This process produces the texture and feel of sparkling sand. It also creates a sculpted like three-dimensional effect on the substrate.

Rubber Paper

This process gives products the look and feel of rubber. Its characteristic can also be used to produce the look and feel of a leather-like suede.

Hi-rise Flocking

Hi-rise Flocking is a process used on cloth cases. The soft flocking material is actually high lifted off the surface on which it is applied.

Graining Flocking

Graining Flocking creates an embossed look and feel to the flocking material. It adds a texture to the smooth softness of the flocking.
