On June 2, 2016, Leo was recognized with an award for our commitment to environmental and energy management. Leo received the silver award in the manufacturing sector during the award ceremony for "BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2015" in Hong Kong. Mr. Albert Lee represented Leo Paper Group and attended the Award Presentation Ceremony.
Organized jointly by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and the Bank of China (Hong Kong), the awards aim to encourage enterprises of the manufacturing and service sectors operating in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region to improve their environmental performance.
There was a record-high participation of 451 companies in the 2015 Awards. The Silver Award is an outstanding result that can be attributed to the commitment of our company to the introduction and promotion of green technology including:
- Heat recycling from air compressor systems
- Ice storage air-conditioning
- The installation of LED lights
- Our online energy management center
- VOC air pollution control technology
In addition, we support our Green Harmony® initiative by implementing comprehensive environmental management in different areas and processes of our business operations. This further promotes the culture of Green Harmony®, and the sustainable development of enterprise and environment.
