Co-organized by the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province and the Environment Bureau of The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, we attended the Award Presentation Ceremony of the Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners Recognition Scheme held in Guangdong, China on December 16, 2016. Among the 148 awarded cleaner production partners, there were 69 enterprises being awarded as Excellent Partners in the category of Manufacturing in 2016. We were honored that our green efforts were recognized by receiving the Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Excellent Partner (Manufacturing) Commendation.
This scheme aims at awarding commendations to those Hong Kong-owned enterprises that demonstrate active participation in cleaner production technologies and practices in the Pearl River Delta region, thereby making a positive contribution to improving air quality and the regional environment in China. The commendation also purposes to recognize and encourage continuous efforts in cleaner production.
Over the years, we have been putting proactive efforts to promote environmental conservation in the supply chain and in the community. We have also been learning from various external experts and industry players about the latest low carbon emission and energy saving techniques and initiatives so as to apply the suitable ones in our operations. Looking forward, in line with the China Government’s long term environmental goals and our Group’s Green Harmony® philosophy, we will stay motivated in our goals, and encourage our Leonians and business partners to work towards environmental conservation in order to strive for zero-waste and achieve win-win results in the long run.
