The Wider Context of Risk Management and Stakeholder Engagement through the Upgrade to ISO 9001:2015

201712041204
As Leo’s motto states, “Quality as Our Root”, we have pursued a philosophy and commitment to quality, putting it at the core of our management system. Our ISO 9001 Quality Management System has been in place for nearly 20 years. The system was upgraded to the latest version of the international standard of ISO 9001:2015 in 2016 and successfully verified by the certification body DNV this year.

The Leo Quality Management System consists of several elements and systems, including PSO for printing process, QC 080000 for hazardous substances management, BRC for product safety, and more. The ISO 9001 forms the basis for all these systems.

Through the upgrade to ISO 9001:2015, we have further promoted the “Risk-based Thinking” throughout our operations processes. Risk management has always been implicit in Leo’s operations process in different aspects. The new quality management system, however, emphasizes not only addressing risks, but also pursuing new opportunities.

By upgrading our quality management system, we have also addressed stakeholders’ expectations more comprehensively. A wider range of interested parties were identified and understood to determine their changing needs. As we have always strived to do, our goal is to deliver enhanced value so as to exceed the expectations of our stakeholders.
