201810191146
In 2017 the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Index Plus assessment result was announced by The Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) and we scored 84.33 out of 100, achieving rating the highest in the Industrial Sector for four consecutive years. Our improved performance was also far out-performing our counterparts in the region whose average score was 49.53.

The HKQAA launched this assessment program to drive continuous improvement with regard to CSR and sustainability issues. It aims at helping the participating organizations determine their CSR system maturity by the application of the ISO26000:2010 Guidance on social responsibility. The 720 enterprises who participated in 2017 were mainly derived from 6 sectors, including Consumer Goods, Properties and Construction, Financials, Industrials, Consumer Services and Information Technology. They were assessed under seven core subjects, namely Organizational Governance, Human Rights, Labor Practices, The Environment, Fair Operating Practices, Consumer Issues, and Community Involvement and Development.

Looking forward, we will keep motivating other players in the industry to share the same vision of uplifting CSR and sustainability.
