Leo won the "Environmental Performance Grand Award" from Hong Kong Awards for Industries
On behalf of the Leo Paper Group, Mr. CM Yeung, Leo Director (Environment, Facilities and Outsourcing Management), attended the Hong Kong Awards for Industries presentation ceremony held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center on January 22, 2009. The annual "Hong Kong Awards for Industries" is one of Hong Kong's most prestigious events in the commercial and industrial sector. Awards are presented in seven categories – environmental protection, productivity and quality, consumer product design, machinery and equipment tools design, customer service, creativity, and technological achievement. In light of the global interest on the subject, the "Environmental Performance Grand Award" is the most recognized and coveted environmental award in Hong Kong. We are also the first printing company to receive this grand award.
The winning of this award marks a cornerstone in our green program – it not only heralds our successes in the journey to sustainability, it also confirms that our environmental management systems have become a role model in the business community. More importantly it has provided us with added encouragement to introduce more green initiatives and seek further improvements in our environmental performance program.
