Leo beat 113 competitors and won the “Hang Seng Pearl River Delta Environmental Awards”
Leo has participated in the “One Factory - One Year - One Environmental Project (One–One–One) Programme” held by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI). This group reviewed the results of green projects in 2007 to put forward our future planning in environmental protection.
There are 12 awards under the, “One-One-One Programme,” - including one “Hang Seng Pearl River Delta Environmental Grand Award”, three “Hang Seng Pearl River Delta Environmental Awards,” and eight “Category Awards”. Leo beat 113 competitors, including strong competitors such as the MTR Corporation Limited and the Hong Kong and China Gas Co Ltd. Leo won three out of 12 awards– the “Hang Seng Pearl River Delta Environmental Grand Award” and two Category Awards, “Energy Conservation” and “Others.”
The awards presentation ceremony was held on June 24, 2008, in the headquarters of the Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong. Mr. Michael Leung, our Operations Director, received the awards from Mr. Edward Yau, Secretary for the Environment, and Mr. Raymond Or, vice chairman and chief executive of the Hong Kong Hang Seng Bank. The ceremony, Mr. Leung also discussed Leo’s green production experiences with all the guests and media, sharing the ways to implement green projects effectively.
The awards recognize Leo’s achievements in environmental protection. Leo is committed to continue promoting green achievements in different sectors in the society, including suppliers and clients. We are striving toward a “Green Harmony” world.
